The Lawrenny Arms, Lawrenny, SA68 0PR: A great place in the summer – sit outside and watch the boats – and also in the winter – a big log fire in the bar. The food is very good, the service is efficient, and the prices are some of the most reasonable I have found here in Pembrokeshire. The menu ranges from sandwiches and snacks through fish and pasta to the more traditional Sunday roasts. If you like getting messy you can still order a Pint of Prawns here – and great fun they are too! Tel: 01646 651367. Last visited: October 2018.
The Cross, St Davids SA62 6SP: We recently revisited The Cross after some years of avoiding it and we were gobsmacked at the changes, both to the menu and the décor. I have now recommended it to all my friends. The food is tasty and beautifully presented, the staff are smart and very helpful, and the prices are reasonable. We are always very pleased to find somewhere we can eat on a Sunday lunchtime without being forced to have a Roast – we’ll look no further now! Tel: 01437 720387. Last visited: August 2018.
Tudor Lodge, Jameston, SA70 7SS: This highly popular hotel offers food and drink to residents and non-residents alike. We tried the Sunday Roast (served all afternoon up to 5pm) in the light and airy restaurant. The meat was delicious, the vegetables plentiful, and the yorkshire puddings about as good as they get! There is plenty of space for families here, including a children’s play area outside. Tudor Lodge also has themed nights, Tuesday is Curry Night for example, which I’m sure we’ll be coming back to try. Booking is strongly recommended. Tel: 01834 871212. Last visited: January 2018.
